Italy, country of the year 2021

How did the "beautiful Country" become the Country of the year?

A year and a half has now passed since the images of the coffins lined up in a row in Bergamo, probably the saddest moment of a difficult period for the history of our country, and for the world in general.

A lot of time seems to have passed since that moment, and now Italy, that country too often reviled first by Italians, has been named by The Economist  "Country of the Year 2021". This assessment stems from the international status of Prime Minister Mario Draghi, the unity shown among the different political forces in the drafting of the "Recovery and Resilience Facility" and the success of the vaccination campaign.

To discuss this and conclude in the best possible way this 2021, Vision organizes an extraordinary appointment of the  Next Generation Series on December 28th at 6 pm  moderated by Annalisa Piras  (Journalist), and which will be attended by Francesco, John Hooper  (Correspondent for Italy and the Vatican The Economist),  Bill Emmott  (Author "The Fate of the West" and Former Editor The Economist),  Carlo Alberto Carnevale Maffè  (Associate Professor of Practice of Strategy and Entrepreneurship SDA Bocconi School of Management),  Azzurra Rinaldi  (Director School of Gender Economics of Unitelma Sapienza) and  Marianna Aprile  (Journalist and Author of "In balia").

The event will be streamed on the Vision Facebook page and on the Zoom platform at the following link:  https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84908079390
