DOLOMITE MANIFESTO PRESENTATION AT COP28 UAE (8th December, 2023)
Vision at COP28, presenting the Dolomite Manifesto 2023 - from Trento to Dubai.
The existential challenge of climate change represents, like any crisis, an opportunity: it compels us to overcome an outdated method of governing globalization.
The fundamental idea is that the sheer volume of documents and ongoing negotiations is not yielding sufficient results, as we find ourselves trapped in a triple dilemma: institutional, because international organizations designed for another century are no longer adequate; cognitive, as complexity demands a multidisciplinary perspective yet to be concretely implemented; ethical, in the sense that we have lost that "sense of future" upon which moral systems are built.
On the occasion of the 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28), at Expo City in Dubai, Vision Think Tank presented the Dolomite Manifesto, the result of the 2nd Dolomite Conference on Global Governance of Climate Change.
The Manifesto represents a new approach aimed at becoming increasingly influential in political agendas and ongoing debates.
